Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the L8R app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. The short version: the App is built to keep your data on your device. We don’t run servers that store your photos, we don’t require an account, and we don’t track you.

Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal information on our own servers. Specifically:

• Photos & camera. Photos you capture or import are processed and stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us or any third party.
• No account. The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or any contact details to use it.
• No tracking. The App does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites. It records a small set of anonymous usage events, described below.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which features are used and to fix problems, the App sends a small set of anonymous usage events to a database we operate (hosted by Supabase). An event records what happened (for example, that a roll was developed), the app version, and a random install identifier. That identifier is generated on your device, is not derived from you or your device, and resets if you reinstall the App. Events never include your photos, your name, or anything else that could identify you.

At launch, the App also fetches a small configuration file from the same service so we can adjust app behavior without an update. This request sends no personal information.

Device permissions

The App asks for certain permissions only to provide its features. You can grant or revoke these at any time in the iOS Settings app.

• Camera: to take photos within the App.
• Photo Library: to save your developed photos to your library, and to import existing photos if you choose to.
• Notifications: to send optional reminders (for example, that you have undeveloped photos). These are scheduled locally on your device.

Purchases

Optional “PRO” features are available through in-app purchases and subscriptions processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment information. Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy, and your subscription status is verified on your device through Apple’s App Store services.

Data shared with Apple

Because the App runs on iOS and uses Apple’s App Store, Apple may collect information related to app downloads, purchases, and crash diagnostics in accordance with their policies. This is governed by Apple, not by us.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
